Newsletter - Equinox 2008
Hi Folks,
It’s Equinox and the day is equal to the night; tomorrow the day is shorter and we’re moving into Autumn and towards Winter.
With that in mind, I’d like to focus on the garden and tidying up out there before the weather turns properly and we want to batten down the hatches and drink hot chocolate in front of a blazing fire…. Well, I don’t have a fire here but it would be nice wouldn’t it? Apart from the bits of wood, bark and general muck dropped as you carry the logs in.
I actually have a solution for that – The Log Gobbler – It’s an ingenious design of sturdy canvas that wraps round the logs and means you can carry more, make less mess and still have a hand free for opening doors.
Now, I’ve noticed the leaves beginning to change colour and the first few are starting to drop. Leaf mould is a fantastic soil conditioner but containing the leaves while they rot down isn’t always as easy as it looks. Our Jute Love em and Leaf em sacks solve that one for you. Just stuff one full of leaves, tie the top up and stick it out of the way until Spring, when you’ll find a nice pile of leaf mould to spread where you need it.
While you’re tidying up and finding things that need hanging up inside in the dry, you might want to take a look at the Pack of Pegs too. Handy beech pegs with a metal spike to push into almost any surface. They make a moveable storage solution for wherever you need it.
I’m planning another newsletter before Christmas, with some gift ideas and I’d like to feature some fellow small businesses so if you know anyone please do let me know!
Sarah
